I once heard on a podcast that sex has both the power to send our minds to hell and set it free. I wholly agree with this notion.
It is a curious path to follow because you traverse through guilt and shame, navigating through barriers of social constructs. It’s a lone path of self-discovery, even when for a time others join you along the way.
Despite being primarily portrayed as a means of procreation, sex can have higher purpose beyond that and most sex in nature is not procreating. Throughout history, sex has been regulated to control individuals, but overcoming guilt can lead to connecting with higher realms of consciousness.
Through sex we are not only interacting with other people but with the essence of our own being and the world we inhabit. It is through this sensory experience of the body that we can access the insights that lie beyond the veil of ordinary consciousness.
Everything I do comes completely naturally to me and I simply follow the path laid out before me.
